A Store. A Café.
A Living, Breathing Idea.
This is the story of how two in-house labels, a family legacy in garments, a love of travel, and a stubborn belief in Jaipur's creative community became something nobody quite expected.
Born From a Family
That Has Always Made Things.
Indiehouse didn't start in a vacuum. It started in a factory.
Our family has been in garment manufacturing for over four decades — exporting to global brands, working with fabric and form, understanding what it takes to build something with your hands and your name on it.
When Arjun and Anushree decided to build something of their own, that lineage was already in their DNA. The precision. The craft. The belief that how something is made matters as much as what it is.
It Started With Two Labels
We Believed In Completely.
When we opened the doors of Indiehouse in 2019, we had two labels of our own — both born directly from our family's garment manufacturing heritage. We thought: give them a home. Give them a beautiful space. Let the city discover them.
Kapraaha
Kapraaha — a Persian/Urdu twist on 'Kapra', meaning fabric — is Anushree's love letter to Indian craft and sustainability. Born from years of travelling through Rajasthan's craft villages, the label makes fuss-free ethnic wear from delicate, luxurious fabrics using natural dyes and handmade techniques rooted in Jaipur's textile heritage. Now sold across India, the US, UK, and Middle East.
Label Reyya
'To flow' — that's what Reyya means, and it's exactly what the brand does. A bohemian-inspired resort wear label created by Arjun and Anushree from a shared love of travel, remote places, and extraordinary people. Reyya is a spiritual journey translated into free-flowing fabrics and standout prints — worn by travellers and dreamers, wherever they find themselves.
These two labels were the seeds of Indiehouse. But the store quickly became something larger than both of them — and that, perhaps, is the truest sign that an idea has found its own life.
From Two Brands to a
Community of Many.
What happened next is the part we didn't plan — and the part we're most proud of.
Brand by brand, label by label, designer by designer — Indiehouse kept evolving. Independent creators found their way to our doors. We said yes to collaborations, pop-ups, workshops, and experiments. We added coffee. We added music. We added events that had nothing to do with shopping and everything to do with community.
Every pivot taught us something. Every new brand that walked through our doors made the space richer. And somewhere in all of that becoming — Indiehouse found itself.
"We didn't set out to build a concept store. We set out to build something honest — and the concept found us."
A Brother & Sister,
A Shared Obsession.
Arjun and Anushree Saraf grew up in a family that lived and breathed fabric. Their father ran one of Jaipur's pioneering garment export businesses. Threads, textures, and craftsmanship were the language of their childhood. It was only natural that when they went out into the world — they'd come back and build something of their own.
Anushree Saraf
Anushree is the creative mind behind everything Indiehouse looks and feels like. She studied business and marketing in England, then spent years travelling through craft villages of rural Rajasthan and Gujarat — falling in love with handmade textiles and artisan craft along the way.
She launched Kapraaha in 2015 — a homegrown sustainable clothing label born from that journey. Then Label Reyya. Then Indiehouse. Every brand she's built carries the same thread: a deep respect for craft, culture, and the people who make things by hand.
Arjun Saraf
Arjun is the engine behind Indiehouse. While Anushree builds the world, Arjun makes sure it runs — and grows. He co-founded Label Reyya with Anushree, bringing the brand's bohemian travel spirit to life through sharp business thinking.
Alongside Indiehouse, he runs Major Group — the family's industrial real estate and luxury residential development business in Jaipur. Two very different worlds, the same DNA: build something real, build it well, build it to last.
The Third Place.
The concept of Indiehouse is borrowed from sociology — the idea of a 'third place'. Not home. Not work. The place in between where community actually happens.
Think the great Parisian café. The independent bookshop. The Bali boutique hotel lobby where guests linger for hours. These are places that nourish something beyond shopping or eating — they nourish connection, creativity, and a sense of belonging.
A carefully curated mix of independent Indian designers — fashion, jewellery, lifestyle, and home. Rotating stock, new discoveries every visit.
Specialty coffee inspired by the world's great coffee cultures. A place to sit, work, think, and stay a little longer.
Pop-ups, workshops, gigs, and events that bring Jaipur's creative community together under one roof.
Everything Here is
Chosen with Intention.
Every brand at Indiehouse is personally selected. If it's on our shelves, someone here believed in it deeply enough to give it a home.
You won't find big commercial brands here. We exist specifically to give independent designers the platform they deserve — and to give you access to things you genuinely can't find anywhere else.
We've designed Indiehouse to feel like a destination. The lighting, the music, the coffee smell, the way things are arranged — every detail is considered.
We host events, invite collaborators, and open our doors to creatives. Indiehouse is a platform, not just a store.
Our stock rotates. Our events change. New brands come in, new collaborations happen. Every visit to Indiehouse is a little different from the last.

Come Be Part of It.
Every person who walks through our doors, every brand that finds its home here, every event that fills our little space with laughter and music — that's the story. And it's still being written.
